Dedicated to the girls and boys who represent Plainville in 3 v 3 soccer.

3 v 3 is a form of soccer that is played between two teams. No more than three players, from each team, may be on the field at the same time and goalkeepers are not allowed. Teams also may not have more than five or six players, depending on local tournament rules. Fields, including the goals, are smaller than traditional regulation soccer. A typical 3 v 3 field would be approximately 90 feet wide by 120 feet long. Usually, a game is played with two 12-15 minute periods with a five minute break in between. Games are fast pace and high scoring, and players have extensive ball contact.

3 v 3 soccer, in the Northeast, is usually played during the summer months. Tournaments are held and teams play a minimum of four games during one day. Players are very dedicated and practice throughout their summer break.

It was a strong year for the girls and boys of the Plainville 3 v 3 teams, and they are eager to the start the 2011 season.
